The murder trial of Ronald Exantus is expected to start today. Jury selection is underway and should wrap up this morning. Police say Exantus entered the Woodford County home of 6-year old Logan Tipton in December of 2015 and stabbed the boy while he and his family were asleep.
Exantus is also accused of injuring Logan’s two sisters. Their father woke up during the attack and was able to subdue Exantus until police arrived. Defense attorneys claim their client isn’t mentally competent to stand trial but a judge ruled against that motion. Logan’s now 13-year old sister is expected to testify during the trial.
