Louisville a No. 1 Seed in NCAA Tournament, Will Play at Rupp Arena

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The field for the NCAA's 68-team men's basketball tournament is set.

The selection committee anointed Louisville as the No. 1 overall seed. The Big East champions are in the Midwest Region and will play the winner of the North Carolina A&T versus Liberty game.

Gonzaga, Indiana, and Kansas are the other number-1 seeds in the NCAA tournament.  Kansas will open against the Hilltoppers of  Western Kentucky University, which won the Sun Belt Conference tournament.

Rupp Arena will play host to eight teams in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this Thursday and Saturday.

Fans from Louisville, Bucknell, Davidson, Butler, Marquette, Missouri, Colorado State, and either Liberty or North Carolina A & T will be in Lexington cheering on their teams.

Remaining all-session tickets will go on sale at the Rupp Arena box office beginning this morning at 10:00. Tickets are also available online through Ticketmaster.

The public is invited to open practices on Wednesday. Admission and parking at Rupp is free on Wednesday.
