Lexington, KY – TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and its global series of events feature local, national, and international speakers sharing "ideas worth spreading". The Lexington panel included Good Foods Co-op co-founder Jim Embry, Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation President Kris Kimmel, and Bill Cloyd, founder of Newton's Attic, an educational non-profit that teaches kids physics and engineering principles in a fun way.
TEDxLex, which organizers say, brought leading technologists, innovators, and musicians together to share their vision of creativity and idealism, was held Friday at Busters. Non-attendees could also keep up with the summit via a web-stream.
