Lexington Service Dog Missing

By Alan Lytle

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Friends and family of a Lexington woman are appealing to the public to help retrieve one of her service dogs who went missing Saturday night. Maria, a 10 year old Belgian Tervuren, escaped from her Chevy Chase neighborhood home, along with another service dog which has since been recovered.

Maria, however, has been spotted a couple of times in the Winburn Middle School area and may have ventured as far out as North of I-75 near Mary Todd Elementary. Maria is said to be around 50 pounds, about 23 inches long, tan in color but with a black mask.

She is also equipped with a pet microchip. Anyone with information is asked to call 388-0051.
