Lexington, KY – Funds Available in Lexington for Breast-related Services

The funds are available through a grant received by the Health Department from the Susan G. Komen foundation. These funds can help women pay for screening, diagnostic treatment and prosthetics. Communications Officer Kevin Hall says that they are not just giving away free breast- related treatment.
This can be for people whose insurance has covered everything, Medicaid and Medicare has covered everything. They may just not have any insurance. They've exhausted every other effort to make these payments and still have funds left on the bill.
Hall says the funds are available until the end of March. Additional about the program is available at lexingtonhealthdepartment.org.
