Kentucky’s own Jennifer Lawrence gave a shout out to her home state as she picked up another Golden Globe for her performance in ‘Joy.’
Lawrence won for best actress in a musical or comedy. During her acceptance speech she credited director David O Russell; whose direction of the actress in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ also won her a Golden Globe, with much of her success "Every time I'm up here, it's because of you. Thank you for choosing me."
The young starlet wasn’t the only Kentuckian up for an award last night. Lexingtonian Michael Shannon was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in ‘99 Homes.’
