State officials say unemployment rates fell in 119 Kentucky counties between November 2013 and November 2014.

The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training said recently that Boone and Woodford counties had the state's lowest jobless rates at 4.5 percent each last month. Madison and Owen counties followed at 4.7 percent.

Eight counties had 4.8 percent rates — Daviess, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Oldham, Scott, Simpson and Warren.

State officials say Jackson County had the state's highest unemployment rate at 12.3 percent. It was followed by Magoffin County at 11.6 percent, Letcher County at 11.2 percent, Harlan County at 10.9 percent, Russell County at 10.5 percent and Leslie County at 10.3 percent.

The statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 6 percent in November, the lowest rate in more than six years.
