It Was A Golden Night For Kentucky's J-Law

Jan 13, 2014

Kentucky’s own Jennifer Lawrence walked away with the Golden Globe last night for her performance in the crime comedy ‘American Hustle’.

Lawrence took home the best supporting actress prize, beating out Julia Roberts for ‘August: Osage County’, June Squibb for ‘Nebraska’, Sally Hawkins for ‘Blue Jasmine’ and up and comer Lupita Nyong’o for ‘12-Years a Slave’.  This Lawrence’s second consecutive Golden Globe win, last year she was honored as leading actress in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.

Golden Globe winners typically go on to garner an Oscar nomination in their respective categories.  That list will be announced this Thursday.  If J-law receives the nod, it will be her third Academy Award nomination.
