Nearly every school district in Central Kentucky has closed today. Fayette County Schools are running on a two-hour delay. Dozens of accidents have been reported and Officials in Scott County are asking you to stay off the roads.
Scott County appears to be the hardest hit when it comes to ice. I-75 was shut down because six semi's have slid off the interstate and tractor trailers jack-knifed on I-64 creating back-ups and delays. Michael Hennigan is the Deputy Director of Emergency Management in Scott County. He said there are multiple accidents between Grant and Fayette County and that the radio traffic reporting problems has been "non-stop."
