Lexington, KY – Police Lieutenant James Curless says 33 year old Glenn Doneghy, faces numerous charges:
"One count of murder one count of leaving the scene, which is a felony because of the injury or death. One count of assault second, four counts of assault third, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance to-wit suspected cocaine and he had two failure to appear bench warrants outstanding for his arrest prior to this encounter with the police department."
Curless says Doneghy faces multiple assault charges because he was allegedly combative with the emergency response unit when it attempted to render aid to Officer Durman. The Lexington Herald Leader reports Doneghy has an extensive criminal history, including assaulting a police officer, harassment and several drug charges. He's currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. His arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
