HealthFirst To Bring Public Up To Speed On Southland Clinic

With its long-delayed clinic on Southland Drive back on track, HealthFirst Bluegrass plans to give the public a picture of where the project stands.

The meeting had been promised more than a year ago before financial questions and a damaging audit put the project on hold. Now, HealthFirst’s new executive director, Dr. Steve Davis, says it’s time to reacquaint the public with the plans.

While the HealthFirst board voted to move forward with construction late last month, neighborhood groups have raised concerns about traffic flow in and around the new facility and stormwater management.

Officials with the non-profit will answer questions about the proposed clinic on Monday, July 28 at 650 Newtown Pike.

The project is being financed through an $11.7M federal grant.
