Grants to bring professional artists into the classroom to incorporate arts into the school curriculum are
available in Kentucky.
The Kentucky Arts Council's Teaching Art Together grant deadline is Oct. 1. The grants give teachers a chance to work with practicing artists during residencies lasting one to four weeks. Arts Council Executive Director Lori Meadows says the residencies allow teachers and students to learn new skills while meeting learning goals.
The residencies can cover a range of topics.
