Georgetown College Names Acting President While Search Continues
GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Georgetown College board of trustees member Granetta Bingham Blevins is set to take over as the college’s acting president.
The school announced Wednesday that Blevins, who graduated from the college in 1980 and acted as the school’s interim chief financial officer from September 2002 to May 2003, will take over while it continues its search for a replacement for William Crouch, Jr.
Crouch announced his retirement in October. Two finalists for the job, former Lexington Mayor Jim Newberry and Jason Rogers with Belmont University in Nashville, both withdrew from consideration in May.
