Former UK basketball star and Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer plead guilty to driving under the influence in March.
Farmer made the plea in Laurel County and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. As long as he doesn’t have any more violations for the next two years, his sentenced is suspended. Farmer did have to give up his license, pay a $739 fine and agree to go to alcohol and drug education classes. Farmer refused to take a blood test when he was pulled over but he did tell officers he had taken two hydrocodone pills and muscle relaxants.
