Equine Career Event Matches Students With Potential Employers
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Tuesday the University of Kentucky will once again host its annual Equine Career Fair, spotlighting equine-related careers and introducing students to potential employers.
When it comes to career fairs, it appears Lexington is staying true to the title “Horse Capital of the World.”
"It's the only equine specific career fair that we know of in the country," says event organizer Elizabeth LaBonty.
The annual event brings together about 30 employers to educate students on the volunteer, internship, and employment opportunities in the industry.
"It's just kind of a nice event for the students and the industry to come together, meet each other, exchange resumes, and find out more about what opportunities are available to them," LaBonty says.
The fair takes place from 4:30 to 7 PM Tuesday in the E.S. Good Barn on the UK campus.
