Date Set For Clinton Return

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to make two stops in Kentucky next week to stump for U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes.

The 42nd president has already attended a fundraiser for Alison Lundergan Grimes in Louisville this past February.  Now President Clinton is planning another visit to the Bluegrass State next Wednesday, August 6th.  The campaign appearances will be at the Carrick House in Lexington and at the Hal Rogers Center in Hazard.

Grimes’ campaign manager released a statement saying “We are humbled by President Clinton’s continued commitment to our campaign and the hardworking people of Kentucky.  The president shares Alison’s vision for a strong middle-class and his support in electing Alison, a champion for working families, to the U.S. Senate is invaluable.”

Grimes is attempting to unseat Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell who is seeking a sixth term in office.
