City To Release Parts Of Steve Nunn Case File

By WUKY Staff

Lexington, KY – Lexington city leaders now say they will release a "significant portion" of the Steve Nunn police case file.

The Lexington Herald Leader had made an open-records request for the documents shortly after the former state lawmaker pleaded guilty, and received a life sentence, for killing his former fiancee Amanda Ross.

The Urban County Council had said it would release the records only after Nunn had completed his sentence.

On Wednesday, the city's Law Department sent a letter to the paper saying it would review and redact personal information from the files; including Social Security numbers, addresses, and financial information and release them in about a week.
