Currently the Dean of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Riordan is set to begin work at UK at the start of the fall semester, if her appointment is approved by the Board of Trustees.

In a statement released Thursday, UK President Eli Capilouto said Riordan stood out for her “compelling communication skills, her deep understanding of higher education’s future, and how she has led a college to prominence.”

Capilouto also thanked the search committee, which spent 10 months narrowing down the candidates.
