Catholic Action Center Building Damaged In Monday Morning Fire
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A Lexington facility that provides food, clothing and shelter to those in need sustained damage in a fire.
Lexington firefighters responded at about 5 a.m. EDT Monday to a blaze at the Catholic Action Center and Community Inn. Multiple television stations in Lexington reported that firefighters found tires burning next to the building, then realized the building was on fire.
Catholic Action Center employee Ginny Ramsey says the center lost important documents, computers and other files because of the fire.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the office area and no one was injured.
Officials were investigating the cause of the fire.
God's Net distribution center will be closed until further notice.
