Lexington, KY – The conference brings students and Kentucky authors together to write and share their work. Lexington's Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning hosts the inaugural event. Carnegie Center Executive Director Jan Isenhour says, while schools do a good job teaching writing, this workshop is a chance to work on creative writing.
The workshop, featuring noted Kentucky authors George Ella Lyon, Richard Taylor, and Tammy Horn, is Saturday October 18th, from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling the Carnegie Center. Subsequent workshops will be held monthly at colleges and universities across the state.
