Booker chose the Wildcats over Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri, where his father was a star player in the early 1990s.

Scout.com ranks Booker as the No. 31 overall prospect in the class of 2014, and he's ranked as high as No. 18 overall by ESPN.

Booker is UK's third commitment for the Class of 2014, joining New Jersey center Karl Towns Jr. and Chicago-area point guard Tyler Ulis. Booker and Ulis have become close friends during their time on the camp circuit, and Ulis recently said he actively recruited Booker to join him in Lexington.

Indiana shooting guard James Blackmon Jr. is scheduled to announce his decision at 9 p.m. Thursday.

UK is favored to land him too.
