Frankfort, KY – Hensley dropped by the State Capitol to tell reporters he plans to run as a Democrat in next year's governor's race. In the meantime, Hensley says Gov. Steve Beshear should resign for raising taxes on Kentuckians last year. "Everybody hollers raise taxes! I don't believe in raising taxes - never, never. I believe the only way we're going to create jobs is to expand the tax base."

During the 2007 governor's race, Hensley rode a giant fiberglass bull around the State Capitol, saying he wanted to "Get the bull out of Frankfort." He also ran in 2003. In 2008, he was arrested for unlawful transaction with a minor, a charge that was later dropped.
