Boats will be banned at Thunder over Louisville this weekend. The Courier Journal reports that the Louisville Metro Police Department said rising waters and swept up debris are making the Ohio River too dangerous for boaters during the annual airshow and fireworks display.
According to The National Weather Service, the river will be five feet higher than normal by Friday.
The restrictions will be in place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until the end of the event on Saturday.
