Frankfort, KY – This will be Gov. Beshear's second trip to Japan and first to China since taking office in December 2007. His Japan trip last year met with some success, says spokesperson Jill Midkiff. "One company that they met with, Fuel Total Systems, announced plans to locate a facility in Lebanon, Kentucky, creating 100 full-time jobs, shortly after his visit there."
After leaving Japan, the governor will travel to China. Midkiff says Beshear will meet with government and business leaders of both nations and plans to heavily promote the 2010 World Equestrian Games, which begin next September in Lexington. The governor leaves Saturday and will be gone seven days.
