Barr Wants Border Changes

Congressman Andy Barr wants to pass legislation to stop the separation of children from their parents at the U.S. border. The Republican said he is against families being separated. He wants to confirm they are related and keep them together while they are custody of the Department of Homeland Security.

Under a zero tolerance policy implemented by the Trump Administration, thousands of children have been separated from their parents and held in detention centers while the adults are criminally prosecuted for illegally crossing the border. Barr was also critical of the Obama Administration policy, saying it was too lax and led to abductions and human trafficking of immigrant children.
