Alltech To Hold Craft Brews and Food Fest

Alltech will hold its annual Craft Brews and Food Fest Saturday in Lexington. The event features 180 beers from 51 different distilleries across the country and a full schedule of live entertainment.  Spokeswoman Danielle Palmer says in addition to their regular products, the breweries will be bringing out some special stock.

“We actually do these special tappings every 15 minutes, so each brewery kind of has a limited edition beer on hand too, so you can follow the schedule and try to find the beer that you’ve maybe never even had before and go to that beer line and try that out.  That kind of keeps the atmosphere fun and lively,” she said.

Palmer also said this year is the first time the festival will include craft distillers, including Alltech's  facility at Town Branch.

“We’ve also got Limestone Branch from Lebanon, Barrel House distilling, that’s one just down the road here on Manchester Street in Lexington, Copper and Kings out of Louisville, they actually make brandy there, as well as Willett Distillery and the Gentleman Distillery, which is a new one out of Paris,” she said.

The festival runs from 12-8 Saturday in Lexington’s Heritage Hall.  Additional information on the event, including schedules and ticket prices, can be found online.
