65 Cadets Report For Kentucky State Police Training

Kentucky State Police

Sixty-five cadets have reported for Kentucky State Police training.  The recruits are mostly from Kentucky. Two are from Ohio and there are one each from Alabama, Illinois and Michigan. Six cadets are females.

The cadets who reported Sunday to the State Police Academy in Frankfort will undergo 23 weeks of training. They'll complete more than 1,000 hours of classroom and field study.

Academy commander Capt. Fred Williams says 35 percent of cadets historically do not complete the program.

The class is tentatively scheduled to graduate on Oct. 28.
