The Record Company On World Café

L.A. band The Record Company first connected over a John Lee Hooker album called Hooker N' Heat, on which the legendary boogie bluesman collaborated with Canned Heat.

The guitar-bass-drums trio's debut album is called Give It Back To You. Hear the band perform songs from the record in the audio segment above, and get a look inside the studio in the performance video of "Off The Ground" below.

the pop star's death: setting a single-day record for video views on Vevo.
 The music video service owned by Universal and Sony says views of Bowie videos
hit 51 million Monday, the day after he died at age 69.
 That broke the record held by Adele, whose videos had 36 million views when her
song ``Hello'' debuted on Oct. 23.
