Few Gouging Complaints So Far

Frankfort, KY – After Hurricane Ike, the attorney general's office received more than two thousand price-gouging complaints. So far this week, they've gotten only about 120 calls and 50 email complaints, but Allison Martin of the AG's office says they will all be checked out. "We are investigating them as they come in. The claims have ranged from anything from generators, to hotel rooms to water and we have been checking every single one as they come in to check validity of it."

No Takers For Draud's Hot Wheels

Frankfort, KY – The Chrysler 300 was up for auction for ten days on eBay this month, but Glenn Mitchell of the Finance Cabinet says no one met the state's reserve price. "We had set a reserve that was approximately the wholesale value of the car and it did not quite reach that."
