Pivotal State Senate Race Takes Place Tuesday

It's Bad But....Forcast Group Adjusting Numbers

Frankfort, KY – In October, the Consensus Forecasting Group predicted the state could be facing a 161-million dollar revenue shortfall this fiscal year. With the 2010 budget session just weeks away, the panel's again crunching the numbers. Does the economy look any better? "Things are getting marginally better. The forecast that we looked at today, the control and the pessimistic forecasts, were perhaps slightly more optimistic."

Former Wildcat Wilbur Hackett Talks About "Huddle" Doc & Gig As SEC Referee

Lexington, KY – When the Florida Gators battle the Alabama Crimson Tide for the Southeastern Conference Championship Saturday, a pioneering Former Kentucky Wildcat will officiate the game. Capitol Dome Redux Moving Right Along

Frankfort, KY – One-hundred-76-feet of scaffolding rises from the rotunda floor, topped by a circular, plywood platform the diameter of the inner dome. That's where Jerry Hazletine and his crew from Midwest Maintenance are scraping, patching and preparing the dome for fresh paint and new lighting. "We just found a lot of paint peeling. We've got one plaster repair there that's pretty major. It's not a water issue. It's an old plaster patch, is all that is."
