2010 Games Announce Official Beer Sponsor

Lexington, KY – The World Equestrian Games now have an official beer for the 2010 event. Title sponsor Alltech has announced that its Kentucky Ale products will be the only brews available for sale to the general public during the games at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Statewide Ice Storm Cleanup Costs Top 250 Million

Frankfort, KY – Utility damage estimates from the ice storm exceed 250-million dollars, says Andrew Melnykovich of the Kentucky Public Service Commission. Utility cooperatives may be able to recoup most of their repair damage from federal disaster funds, but Melnykovich says that's not the case for investor-owned utilities. "And those would be LG&E, Kentucky Utilities, Duke Energy Kentucky and Kentucky Power, which is part of the American Electric Power system."
