More Kentucky Counties Designated for Individual Assistance From FEMA

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- – Nearly five million dollars in FEMA disaster assistance funding has been distributed to Kentucky storm victims in the wake of the May 1st flooding.

Spokesman John Treanor says most of that money has been designated for temporary housing and home repairs.

Lafayette Senior Wins Congressional Art Competition

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- – A Fayette County high school senior is getting national recognition for her artwork. 19-year-old Alexandra Dantchenko of Lafayette High School is this year's winner of the Congressional Art Competition from Kentucky's 6th District.

"Metamorphosis" is a digitally rendered image of a self portrait combined with a cello.
